PILIBHIT: The state department of sugarcane and sugar industry in UP has embarked upon a job-oriented program for educated youths, under which, the students pursuing professional courses, graduation, postgraduation and research will be provided with internship and apprenticeship opportunities in various disciplines at the offices of the sugarcane development department.

After the successful completion of the internship or the apprenticeship, the candidates will be eligible to be absorbed by the department. Farmers have demanded priority for their children under the program.
According to the additional chief secretary of sugarcane and sugar industry in the government of UP, Sanjay R Bhoosreddy, the program has been initiated following the instructions of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, to generate skilled human resource and job opportunities for unemployed youths in the state.
“The internship and apprenticeship programs have been made available in various subjects, including agriculture marketing, accounting, law, computer, sugar technology, engineering, information technology, human resources, statistics and industrial training etc. Students who have obtained at least 55% marks in the last semester of their respective courses will be eligible to apply online on the website of the state sugarcane department”, he added.
The maximum time span of the internship would be 60 days, while the apprenticeship would be completed in one year. Successful candidates would be provided with the certificates.
